Theme for 2021's Colin Calendar is 'The Bugey' and its remote parishes in the mountains of south-east France, scene of the first missions of the Marist Fathers.
Included are dates of Marist historical significance, anniversaries of the founders of the various Marist branches and the establishment of provinces and units. Monthly quotes are drawn from the Marist Constitutions section on community life.
The calendar's illustrations are inspired by the pioneer missions preached by Jean-Claude Colin and his companions throughout the winters of 1824 to 1829 and are complemented by a final page description of the Bugey missions.
